A boiler made by Richard Garrett of Leiston is now in use at the Gressenhall Farm & Workhouse Museum to power some of the steam engines in their collection. It was built in around 1921 as a steam boiler and was collected by the Museum from a Nursery in Lancing in 1988 where it had been used to sterilise soil. Unfortunately Pastfinders have no further information about the boiler or from which Nursery in Lancing it came. It has recently been restored and is now back in operation. Our Group would be grateful to hear from anyone who knows the Nursery concerned or has other information about the Boiler.
